Jeep Wrangler: Only Built in Ohio
Still American Made.
"Allpar reports that at the event announcing the $1.7 billion investment to develop the next-gen Jeep Liberty, the Chrysler CEO also confirmed that the Wrangler will always be built in Toledo, adding that it's "unthinkable to assemble a Wrangler somewhere else."
"While Wrangler production won't leave Toledo, production there remains limited to around 160,000 vehicles annually. The Wrangler's assembly plant was never designed for expansion, so increasing capacity would be an expensive proposition."

Jeep Wrangler Arctic Special Edition
Available in the US? Last I heard it was only going to be in Europe but I got to see one at a off-road road rally I went to last weekend. The interior trim accents really sets the interior off...I loved it so much I'm thinking of doing to mine.

"The standard Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: MW3 Special Edition is an impressive piece of machinery by any standard, but if you're looking for something with a little more bite, Xtreme Outfitters may have what you're looking for. The company has created a custom Wrangler just for the Army Rangers. The stock drivetrain was pulled in favor of a Burnsville 5.7-liter Hemi V8 conversion paired to a five-speed automatic transmission while the standard axles were scrapped for a Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear from Dynatrac. A TeraFlex four-inch long arm kit with provides a little extra lift, while Fox 2.0 performance shocks ensure that this Wrangler can soak up whatever terrain you decided to conquer."
"Smittybilt provided a set of XRC armor fenders, an SRC stinger bumper and a rear XRC bumper with an adjustable tire mount, some of which have been decorated with shots from a 9mm pistol. Xtreme Outfitters also worked with BMF for a set of pre-production Novakane 17x9-inch wheels."
"Inside, the Wrangler uses custom lighting from Rigid Lighting and Katzkin custom two-tone leather seats embroidered with the Ranger logo. Xtreme Outfitters has donated the Wrangler to the Army Rangers to be auctioned off to benefit veteran Rangers. Raffle tickets are $25 a piece, and you can enter as many times as you like. Xtreme Outfitters says that the total build tallies up to around $150,000, though all of the decommissioned firearms spread around the cabin aren't part of the deal. "American Expedition Vehicles has broadened its Jeep Wrangler pickup conversion offerings with the newBrute Double Cab. Offered as a turn-key conversion, the vehicle features a combination of stamped-steel and composite body panels for an OEM-level fit and finish. Using a combination of structural adhesive and welding, AEV says it has managed to reduce noise and vibration in the cabin and ensure the longevity of the build. While the original AEV Brute bore a stamped-steel bed, the company has switched to a new composite design that is both lighter and more durable than its predecessor."
"Using carbon fiber outer skins, beefy reinforced fiberglass innards and a foam core, the company says that the new kit weighs in at around 200 pounds. That's nearly 200 pounds lighter than the old one."

"The AEV Brute Double Cab looks like it could have rolled out of the Wrangler factory in Toledo. There’s attention to detail here that’s not present on many of the custom Jeeps we’ve seen at SEMA. Company founder Dave Harriton insists on doing things right; he’s hired Jeep engineers who worked on the KJ Wrangler and makes sure that materials and coatings match OEM spec wherever possible. Chrysler seems to trust AEV, too, because it uses the Missoula, Montana–based company as a supplier for some Jeep parts, including certain pieces of the JK8 conversion kit, Jeep’s own Wrangler pickup solution."

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Wins Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off Road 4x4 of the Year
"The 2012 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most capable off-roading vehicles on the planet, and Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road has taken notice. The Wrangler Rubicon has been named 4X4 of the Year by the magazine, beating the Dodge Ram Power Wagon for the honor."
"The award is the third for the Wrangler, and the 12th award in 30 years for the Jeep brand. The Rubicon took the trophy after acing a 1,000-mile trial that evaluates vehicles' performance in dirt, mud, sand, rocks, gravel and highway driving."
"For 2012, the Wrangler lineup ditched its old, unloved 3.7-liter V6 in favor of the 285-horsepower Pentastar V6, as well as the various interior refinements that have been in place since the 2011 model year. AEV Turns Wrangler into Brute Double Cab for SEMA
Kind of crazy...
"Based on the latest JK Wrangler Unlimited, the Brute Double Cab offers more interior space thanks to the extra doors and the larger overall dimensions of the JK-series Wrangler. AEV stretches the frame to a 139-inch wheelbase, and the Brute Double Cab has an overall length of 216 inches – 30 inches more than a regular JK Unlimited. The bed is nearly square, with dimensions of 61 inches long by 60 inches wide (and 44 inches between the wheelhouses), but it's not intended to make a pickup truck replacement out of a Jeep."

Jeep Stays American!
This is awesome news to hear...Jeeps should be American Made
"The Detroit News is reporting that Fiat may move its plannedJeep and Alfa Romeo SUV production from Turin to the United States. That would leave the Italian plant open and available to produce a new future city car."
"Needless to say, that makes the possibility of manufacturing Jeep vehicles abroad and importing them back into the U.S. considerably less profitable. Building the two vehicles here in America would keep Jeep assembly domestic and give Alfa Romeo a leg up when it comes time for that brand to re-launch in the land of the free."
